Who uses Easy Tidings?

Easy Tidings is for anyone who is looking for a friendly conversation, needs someone to listen, or wants to connect with others. We welcome individuals of all ages and backgrounds seeking positive, confidential interaction. While everyone is welcome, we particularly aim to serve seniors, individuals experiencing isolation, and those in need of emotional support.

How does Easy Tidings communicate? Do you offer any additional services or benefits besides companionship?

Easy Tidings offers a variety of communication types, including phone and video chats, messaging and texts, and mail correspondence. We also can keep a figurative eye on your well-being and conduct regular wellness checks. For care companion services, we maintain records and provide self-service reports and email updates.

Is Easy Tidings a substitute for professional help or therapy?

No, Easy Tidings does not provide licensed therapists, but we do offer a listening ear and make helpful suggestions like a good friend would. However, for mental health conditions, we recommend seeking professional help from trained therapists. If you are experiencing a crisis, mental health issues, or require professional medical advice, please seek help from qualified professionals. We can provide resources for professional help.

Is my privacy and confidentiality assured when using your service?

Absolutely! Easy Tidings offers a safe and confidential space where you can freely discuss what’s on your mind without worrying about others finding out. Your privacy is of utmost importance to us. See also our Privacy Policy.

How do I get started with Easy Tidings?

Getting started is easy! Simply click on the 'Sign Up' or 'Register' button at the top of the page. We will ask for your communication preferences and we will ask you to provide a valid email address or your phone number so we can contact you. Once you've created an account, we will send you a welcome package and make arrangements for further communications.

How does the conversation system work?

After you sign up, we will initiate communications with a welcome packet. We will then follow a schedule to your liking, contacting you on a schedule that works for you. We will keep the conversation going with a single care coordinator, unless you wish to switch. You can always log into your account, and track the services we have provided.

What types of conversations can I have on Easy Tidings?

Easy Tidings is for friendly, supportive, and respectful conversations. You can talk about any topic you feel comfortable with; your day, your interests, share stories, or just enjoy a listening ear. We encourage positive and uplifting interactions. Easy Tidings is not intended for dating, romantic relationships, or the exchange of explicit content

Is this like online dating?

Easy Tidings focuses on platonic friendships and emotional support, not romantic connections.

Do I need to share personal information to use Easy Tidings?

Easy Tidings requires very limited information from you, just enough to get started. However, whatever you are comfortable sharing will help us become lasting friends. For example, we understand the privacy critical nature of your Birthday, so when we ask for it, we allow you to enter anything you like; you can give the full birthday, the month, or just tell us you are a Pisces! You have control over what personal details you share in your profile and during conversations. We encourage you to be mindful of your privacy and share information at your own comfort level. How long are the calls/chats?

You may speak with a Care Companion for as long as you wish. We can recommend times to call based on personal experience and budget, but in the end it's whatever makes you the happiest! Our most popular time slots are 15 and 30 minutes.

Is Easy Tidings safe? / How do you protect user safety?

We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. These measures include using encryption for data in transit and at rest, storing data on secure servers with limited access, and regularly reviewing our security procedures. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

What happens to my conversation notes and personal information?

We take your privacy seriously. Conversation notes and personal information are recorded in our system and are available for you to review. We do not share your personally identifiable information with third parties except as described in our Privacy Policy.

What is a Care Companion?

Care Companions are the friends you'll meet as part of our service. You will meet one via your preferred method and start learning about each other right away.

Do Care Companions offer advice or counseling?

Care Companions here to be friends; we listen and may even occasionally offer casual advice but Easy Tidings is not a therapy service. People seeking mental health services are encouraged to see a licensed professional.

Are the Care Companions available at specific times?

Care Companions are available by appointment only.

What is the difference between a customer and a client?

A customer is the person responsible for initiating and paying for points, while a client is the individual receiving our services. A customer can also be a client and can request services for multiple clients.

What devices can I use to access Easy Tidings?

Easy Tidings is accessible on computers, tablets, and smartphones through your web browser.

What if I forget my password?

If you forget your password, you can use the Forgot Password link on the login page. Enter your email here and it will send a password reset link to your email.

How do I update my profile information?

You can update your profile information by logging into your account and clicking on the image in the top right of your screen. You will be able to update any of the data you entered during registration.

What are my payment options?

We process our payments through Stripe, which allows us to accept major credit cards or link.

How do I check my balance?

Just log into your account! From there, you are taken to the dashboard, and you will see your remaining points.

I am enjoying the service. How to I purchase more?

We are glad you are enjoying the service! Just log into your account; on the main page (Dashboard), you will see how many remaining points you have and be able to select and purchase additional points.

Do you offer refunds on points?

Unfortunately, refunds on points cannot be given. However, you have the flexibility to redirect points to different clients or use them in other ways.

Do you offer gift cards?

At this time, we do not offer gift cards, but we are actively working on introducing the in the future.

Do my points expire?

Generally, points will expire after 6 months of account inactivity. As long as there is some activity, your points may last indefinitely.
